Undoubtedly, your first question will be when you can expect an answer, and how you’ll receive it.  So here’s what you can expect.

First, I won’t post your email or any name associated with your question.  The only thing that will appear on this site is the question itself.  If needed, the question may be paraphrased, or altered in some way, to better address the issue involved.

Questions that I intend to answer (but that I haven’t finished studying yet) will be posted in the category called “Thoughts in Progress.”  When they are completed, a summary answer will be posted in the “Ask Mike” category with additional links to related or supporting studies included in the post.

Please be patient!  Depending upon the difficulty of your question and the various subjects I may need to study before offering an answer, this could take a while.

Questions that I don’t intend to answer will be replied to with a reason for denial.  If your question does not appear in the “Thoughts in Progress” after two weeks, and you receive no reply one way or another, I may not have actually received your question (in the world of electronics, things happen).  Please resubmit your question again, or contact the Webmaster below.
